According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Undersecretariat of Customs' preliminary foreign trade data, Turkey's iron and steel import value in April decreased by 1.56% y/y to USD 1.97 billion.
In this month, iron and steel import value ranked sixth in the list of products with the highest import value.
The import value of iron and steel decreased by 9.04% y/y to USD 7.13 billion in January-April 2025 compared to the same period last year.
During t,e month in question, the import value of iron or steel products ranked 16th in the list of the country's products with the highest import value. In the same month, the import value of iron or steel products increased by 1.44% to USD 347.59 million compared to the same month of the previous year and increased by 4.75% to USD 1.37 billion in the January-April period.
