According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from preliminary foreign trade figures of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Undersecretariat of Customs, Türkiye’s iron and steel export value in March increased by 0.8% year-on-year to $1,051.95 million.
In the same month, iron and steel ranked eighth among the country’s highest-value export categories.
In the January–March period of this year, export value declined by 8.0% year-on-year to $2.45 billion compared to the same period last year.
In the same month, exports of articles of iron or steel also ranked eighth among the country’s highest-value export categories.
In March, the export value of articles of iron or steel decreased by 3.1% year-on-year to $806.02 million, while in the first three months of the year it increased by 0.7% compared to the same period last year, reaching $2.27 billion.
