According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the preliminary foreign trade figures of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Ministry of Trade, Turkey’s iron and steel export value in July decreased by 10.5% compared to the same month last year, reaching $836.88 million.
In that month, the export value of iron and steel ranked 10th among the country’s top export products.
In the January–July period of this year, it rose by 6% year-on-year to $6.30 billion.
The export value of articles made of iron or steel ranked eighth among the country’s top export products in that month.
In July, the export value of articles made of iron or steel increased by 7.4% year-on-year to $867.01 million, while in the first seven months of the year, it decreased by 2.1% compared to the same period last year, reaching $5.48 billion.
