Türkiye's HRC imports down 19.6% in January-August period

According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's hot rolled coil (HRC) imports in August 2024 decreased by 23.1% y-o-y to 244,843 tons from 318,390 tons. This figure increased by 56.6% compared to the previous month of July.

Total HRC imports in the January-August period decreased by 19.6% y-o-y from 3,030,369 tons to 2,436,510 tons.

China was the leading importing country for HRC with 185,056.7 tons, followed by South Korea with 24,817.5 tons, Russia with 13,310 tons, France with 9,465.1 tons and Egypt with 8,865.5 tons.
