Türkiye's HRC exports up 109.1% in January-May period

According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), Türkiye's hot rolled coil (HRC) exports in May 2024 increased by 136.8% yoy, from 85,595 tons to 202,666 tons. It also recorded a 15.7% increase compared to the previous month of April.

Total HRC exports in the January-May period increased by 109.1% year-on-year from 411,564 tons to 860,405 tons.

Italy was the leading country to which Türkiye exported the most HRC in May with 97,595 tons, followed by Egypt with 30,946 tons, Greece with 16,771 tons, Morocco with 16,334 tons and Spain with 10,195 tons.
