Türkiye's billet imports increased by 9.9% in February

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's billet imports in February increased by 9.9% compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 221,251 tons to 243,162 tons. Compared to the previous month, January, it decreased by 36.8%.

Total billet imports in the January-February period increased by 52.6% from 411,664 tons to 628,154 tons.

During the month in question, Türkiye imported billet from Malaysia, Russia and Ukraine ranked in the top 3. Billet imports from Malaysia amounted to 133,614 tons, followed by Russia with 38,366 tons and Ukraine with 29,909 tons.
