Türkiye's billet and bloom imports down 24.9% in January-March

Türkiye's March 2024 billet and bloom imports decreased by 16.6% y-o-y and increased by 42.3% m-o-m.

According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's billet and bloom imports in March decreased by 16.6% compared to the same month of the previous year, from 375,152 tons to 312,981 tons.

This figure was 42.3% higher than the previous month, February. In February, 219,961 tons of imports were realized.

Türkiye's total billet and bloom imports in the January-March period decreased by 24.9% y-o-y to 723,111 tons from 963,194 tons.

Türkiye imported the most from Russia with 94,073.4 tons, followed by Algeria with 84,713.2 tons, Saudi Arabia with 54,830.8 tons, Indonesia with 43,630.1 tons and Belarus with 5,985.8 tons.
