Türkiye's billet and bloom imports decreased by 25.1% in January-August period

According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's billet and bloom imports in August increased by 25.6% year-on-year to 273,058 tons from 217,414 tons.

This figure was an increase of 4.6% compared to the previous month, July. In July, 260,904 tons of imports were realized.

Türkiye's total billet and bloom imports in the January-August period decreased by 25.1% year-on-year to 1,852,549 tons from 2,471,940 tons.

Türkiye imported the most from Malaysia with 103,728 tons, followed by Russia with 59,702.1 tons, Vietnam with 43,854.1 tons, Algeria with 24,870.7 tons and Ukraine with 13,556.5 tons.
