The automotive industry was followed by chemicals and chemical products with USD 2 billion 615 million and the electrical and electronics sector with USD 1 billion 382.4 million.
Ship and yacht sector at the top in export growth
The sector that increased its exports the most in April was the ship, yacht and services sector with a growth of 60.5%. This remarkable increase indicated that the demand for the sector and production capacity increased significantly.
The industrial group had a 71% share in exports
The industrial group, which accounts for the bulk of Türkiye's exports, realized 71% of total exports in April, reaching exports of USD 14.9 billion. This figure represents a 12.4% increase compared to the same month last year.
The agriculture group accounted for 13.3% of total exports. Exports in this group increased by 8% to USD 2 billion 789 million. The mining sector also realized exports of USD 474.7 million with a share of 2.3%, which means an increase of 1.9%.
Most exports to Germany
In April, the country to which Türkiye exported the most was Germany with USD 1.6 billion. Germany was followed by the United Kingdom with USD 1 billion 42 million and Italy with USD 1 billion 9 million.
The top three cities in exports: İstanbul, Kocaeli, Bursa
The leading cities in exports in this period were İstanbul with USD 7.4 billion, Kocaeli with USD 1.9 billion and Bursa with USD 1.3 billion.
