Türkiye fully utilized 5 products from EU quotas

During the quota period from April 1 to June 30, 2025, Türkiye used all of its quota for organic coated sheets, wire rod, hollow sections, large welded tubes and rebar.

According to data obtained by SteelRadar from the European Commission, Türkiye ranked first in product-based capacity utilization by fully utilizing five products from its EU quotas. 15,716 tons of organic coated sheets, 98,054 tons of wire rod, 83,949 tons of hollow sections, 14,931 tons of large welded tubes and 94,389 tons of rebar were fully utilized.

Utilization rates for other products were as follows:

2,928 tons of railway materials quota used 35.3%, 21,177 tons of stainless HR quarto plates quota used 74.6%, 43,093 tons of other welded pipes quota used 70.9%, 73,576 tons of non alloy steel wire quota used 50.6%, 627,026 tons of HRC quota used 72.8%, 213,498 tons of merchant bars and light sections quota used 38.6%.

Apart from Türkiye, other countries that used their products at full capacity are as follows:

 South Korea with 161,143 tons of HRC quota, Taiwan with 46,029 tons of stainless HR quarto plate quota, 53,636 tons of 4A metallic coated sheets quota, 78,591 tons of organic coated sheets quota, 5,880 tons of seamless stainless tubes and pipes quota and 31,733 tons of stainless bars and light sections quota, India with 128,220 tons of 4B metallic coated sheets quota, 4,915 tons of stainless HR quarto plates quota and 8,072 tons of other welded pipes quota.
