Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK): Sales from industrial production exceed 24 trillion lira

Türkiye Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released its Annual Industrial Product Statistics for 2025. According to the data, total sales of industrial products generated from production by enterprises reached 24 trillion 28 billion 700 million lira last year. This marks a strong increase compared to previous years in production-based sales.

According to the data released, in 2025 in Türkiye, 1,216,140 automobiles, 8,329,500 household refrigerators and freezers, 774,970 motorcycles, 1,266,183 hermetic boilers, over 334 million tons of ready-mixed concrete, and more than 9.5 million tons of detergents and cleaning products were produced.

Sales from production reached 18.8 trillion lira in 2024, while in 2025 they exceeded 24 trillion lira, showing a remarkable increase.

Food industry ranked first

Food industry products accounted for the largest share of total sales value with 15.5%. It was followed by basic metals with 10.2%, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers with 9.7%, and fabricated metal products with 6.1%.

High-tech products accounted for 3.6%

In the classification based on technology level in manufacturing, high-tech products accounted for 3.6% of total sales value. Low and medium-low technology products made up 67.5% of total sales, while medium-high technology products accounted for 28.8%.

By main industrial group, 43.8% of sales came from intermediate goods, 23.7% from non-durable consumer goods, and 21.8% from capital goods.

Automotive production concentrated in Kocaeli and Bursa

In the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, the majority of sales were concentrated in five provinces. Kocaeli accounted for 34%, Bursa 29.8%, Sakarya 11.8%, Aksaray 3.9%, and İzmir 3.6%, meaning these five provinces made up 83.1% of sector sales.

Garment sector leads subcontracted production

According to TÜİK data, in 2025 the garment industry ranked first in subcontracted manufacturing sales value with 32.3%. It was followed by textile products with 17.6% and fabricated metal products with 9.3%.
