In 2022, Turkey's rebar exports decreased by 23% year on year and amounted to approximately 5.7 million tons.
Export value decreased by 11.5% year-on-year to 4.2 billion USD. Reasons for declining exports include low market demand, global economic recession concerns, and persistent containment measures.
Among them, exports to Israel amounted to 1.05 million tons, decreased by 8.8% compared to the previous year. Yemen (about 740,000 tons), the USA (about 355,000 tons) and Canada (about 245,000 tons).
