Turkey's wire rod imports increased

Compared to the same period of 2022, Turkey's wire rod imports in January-April 2023 decreased in January and increased in the other 3 months.

Turkey's wire rod imports decreased by 26.6% in January, but increased by 34.9%, 210.1% and 147.9% in February, March and April, respectively.

In February 2023, Turkey's wire rod imports increased by 34.9% and approached the wire rod import figure of January 2022.

In January 2023, Turkey's wire rod imports decreased from 47 thousand 164 tonnes to 34 thousand 610 tonnes compared to January of the previous year, while it increased to 46 thousand 737 tonnes in February.

Compared to March 2022, wire rod imports increased from 28 thousand 819 tonnes to 89 thousand 376 tonnes in March 2023.

Turkey's wire rod imports increased almost 2 and a half times to 66 thousand 576 tonnes in 2022 compared to April 2023.

On the other hand, wire rod imports decreased by 25.5% in April 2023 compared to March 2023.
