According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s rebar exports in February decreased by 6.01% year-on-year, falling from 337,466 tons to 317,191 tons.
Compared to January, exports increased by 8%.
In the January–February period, total rebar exports declined by 16.98% year-on-year, dropping from 735,834 tons to 610,887 tons.
During this period, Yemen ranked first among Türkiye’s top rebar export destinations, with exports totaling 141,046 tons. It was followed by Palestine with 57,769 tons, the United Kingdom with 39,464 tons, Peru with 37,582 tons, and Ethiopia with 20,020 tons.
Specifically in February, notable increases were observed in export markets. Exports to Palestine surged by 595.76% year-on-year, while exports to Ethiopia rose by 583.52% and to the United Kingdom by 81.61%. Meanwhile, exports to Yemen increased by 30.93%.
