In September, Turkey's billet imports amounted to approximately 195,000 tons, up 7.6% month on month and 1.7% year on year. Import value totaled around US$117 million, up 0.9% month on month and down 14% year on year.
In the first nine months, Turkey's billet and bloom imports decreased by 25.6 percent year on year to 1.74 million tons. Among these, Russia was the main source of imports with approximately 1.15 million tons, down 15.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.
