Trump steel import tariffs will not be revised

Donald Trump, the president of the United States, stated that his country is in no rush to sign trade agreements and that domestic interests take priority. He emphasized that the U.S. is only reviewing tariffs on specific countries, but there will be no negotiations on global baseline tariffs, including those on cars and steel products.

Trump added that new tariff policies are being developed with the aim of ensuring fair trade and reducing consumer costs, and these policies will be determined in meetings with his economic team.

Referring to countries like India, which had previously agreed to reduce tariffs, he made it clear that the U.S. will not accept high tariffs and expects its trading partners to either open their markets or reduce trade costs.
