Traxys Group completes acquisition of Metmar Limited

Traxys Group, a global metals and minerals commodities trader, logistics and trading firm, has completed the privatised acquisition of Metmar Limited, a Johannesburg-listed company.

Metmar specialises in the international trading of ferrous, non-ferrous, carbon, plastics, rubber and chemical products with strategic suppliers and customers. To support its global trade, Metmar is also investing in metals and mining projects to secure cost-effective long-term off-take agreements for its trading business, including key strategic investments in the Sefateng Chrome Mine and Kalagadi Manganese projects.

Mark Kristoff, Traxys Chief Executive Officer, said: "We are excited to welcome Metmar to the Traxys Group. Metmar has a leading position in the global metals and mining raw materials markets in South Africa.
