Toyota targets record global vehicle production in new fiscal year

It has been reported that Japanese automotive giant Toyota aims to produce a record number of vehicles on a global basis during the fiscal year that will start in April 2022.

Toyota targets record global vehicle production in new fiscal year

According to the news of the Kyodo agency, based on Toyota Motor company sources, Toyota plans a new record production globally in the new fiscal year.

Accordingly, the Japanese company aims to produce 11 million vehicles in the 2022 fiscal year, which will start in April, increasing its global manufacturing target by 22 percent.

Toyota expects this target to be achieved after the factory shutdowns during the Kovid-19 outbreak and the semiconductor supply gap return to normal.

Planning to produce 9.3 million vehicles in the first comprehensive planning for the 2021 fiscal year, which will end in March 2022, Toyota announced that it had reduced this target to below 9 million in the fiscal year after the aforementioned suspension and deficits.

The Japanese firm manufactured 8.18 million vehicles globally in the 2020 fiscal year, which ended in March 2021.
