At the organization, which was held for the 7th time this year, Tosyalı won a silver award in the “Innovative Achievement in Growth” category with its “Visionary Growth in Green Steel” project, while Tosyalı Holding Chairman Fuat Tosyalı received a silver award in the “Thought Leader of the Year” category. The company also earned bronze awards in the “Sustainable Product/Service of the Year” category with its TOSYALI V-Green brand and in the “Innovation in Sponsorships” category with the “Upcycling in Art” project carried out in cooperation with Contemporary Istanbul.
Organized under the umbrella of the Stevie Awards, the Stevie MENA Awards evaluates companies’ performances in innovation, sustainability, growth and leadership on an international scale. Tosyalı’s achievement in winning awards in four different categories stood out as a concrete indicator of the company’s global transformation and investment processes.
Operating with nearly 50 facilities across three continents, an annual liquid steel production capacity of 15 million tons and more than 15,000 employees, Tosyalı continues to draw attention particularly through its low-carbon production technologies, renewable energy investments and digitalization initiatives.
During the international jury evaluations, Fuat Tosyalı’s long-term approach to low-carbon steel production, hydrogen-compatible production infrastructure, AI-supported operational processes and circular production model were among the highlights.
Projects developed through the company’s sustainability investments, which have reached nearly $6 billion, also played a significant role in the award process. The jury highlighted the low-emission structure of the company’s low-carbon steel brand TOSYALI V-Green and its compliance with the European Green Deal and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism criteria as notable factors.
Meanwhile, the company stated that by using verified emission data in its products, it has achieved carbon emissions up to 70% lower compared to default values.
Within the scope of the “Upcycling in Art” project implemented in cooperation with Contemporary Istanbul, the aim is to raise awareness about sustainability by transforming industrial waste into works of art. The project was deemed worthy of an award by the jury for its approach combining environmental transformation with art.
