According to the statistics of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), US crude steel production in the week ending November 20 increased by 0.3% compared to the same period of the previous week to 1.861 million tons. It increased by 14.8% compared to the same period of the previous year. Capacity utilization rate was 84.3%, up 0.2% weekly and 11% year-on-year.
As of last week, US adjusted crude steel production to date totaled 84,437 million tons, up 19.9 percent year on year. Capacity utilization rate was 81.6% with an annual increase of 13.9%.
