Russian government has approved nine ports for the export of scrap

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a list of seaports for the export of waste and scrap ferrous metals from Russia outside the Eurasian Economic Union in 2024.

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a list of seaports for the export of waste and scrap ferrous metals from Russia outside the Eurasian Economic Union in 2024. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. This resolution is valid until December 31 of the current year.

“To establish that the departure from the Russian Federation outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union of waste and scrap ferrous metals (EAEU HS codes 7204 10 000 0, 7204 30 000 0, 7204 41 100 0, 7204 41 910 0, 7204 41 990 0, 7204 49 100 0, 7204 49 300 0, 7204 49 900 0 and 7204 50 000 0) is carried out only from sea checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation according to the list according to the appendix,” the resolution says.

In total, nine ports were included in the list: Arkhangelsk, Big Port of St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Dudinka, Kaliningrad, Korsakov, Magadan, Murmansk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
