One of the leading international events dedicated to the steel industry's low-carbon transformation, The Future of Green Steel 2026, will take place in London on 28–29 October 2026, bringing together key stakeholders from across the global steel value chain. Organized by Active Communications International (ACI), the summit aims to assess the progress of the green steel transition in Europe and beyond while exploring the commercial and technological opportunities driving the industry's decarbonization.
The event will gather steel producers, automotive manufacturers, energy companies, technology providers, financial institutions, and policymakers to exchange insights on emissions reduction strategies, investment trends, and evolving market dynamics. Discussions will focus on how green steel projects can achieve commercial viability while enabling the industry to meet its net-zero commitments and maintain global competitiveness.
The conference agenda will cover a broad range of topics, including the impact of current and future policy frameworks on the green steel market, decarbonization pathways for steel production, the role of hydrogen and electric arc furnace technologies, sustainable construction applications, sustainability reporting and certification, as well as the environmental and economic challenges facing the steel supply chain. Participants will also examine green steel pricing mechanisms, customer demand, offtake agreements, and financing models for large-scale investments.
Following previous editions that featured companies such as ArcelorMittal, H2 Green Steel, Renault, and GFG Alliance, this year's event is expected to welcome senior executives from across the steel value chain. Confirmed speakers include Roman Perepelytsia, Head of Strategy and Business Development at Metinvest; Matthew Poole, Associate Managing Consultant at CRU; Kaye Ayub, Director of Price Analysis & Forecasting at MEPS International; and Jamie McLeod, Director of International Trade at Crowe UK.
Taking place at a pivotal time when investments in green steel are accelerating, carbon regulations are becoming more defined, and new production projects are entering the market, the ACI summit is expected to provide an important platform for knowledge sharing, strategic dialogue, and business collaboration among industry leaders.
