Organized by the Iranian Iron and Steel Association, the event will bring together representatives from across the country’s steel value chain.
The symposium will be held under the theme “Synergy between scientific and industrial ecosystems to accelerate green steel production.” Discussions will focus on the transformation of Iran’s steel industry in the areas of production, technology, energy and sustainability.
Green steel and digital transformation in focus
The technical program will address the modernization of steel plants, policies supporting competitive production, the green steel ecosystem, energy and resource efficiency, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Other topics will include material recycling and the circular economy, Industry 4.0 and 5.0 applications, artificial intelligence, innovative production technologies, supply chains, logistics, workforce development and knowledge transfer.
The production and use of new-generation steels, iron extraction technologies, melting and casting, thermomechanical processing, forming, corrosion, surface coating, welding technologies and refractory materials will also feature in the scientific program.
Participants from across the steel value chain
The International Steel Exhibition, held alongside the symposium, will showcase the latest software, hardware, machinery, equipment and consumables used in the steel and related mining industries.
The exhibition’s target groups include steel producers, raw material suppliers, technology companies, engineering service providers, transport and logistics companies, industrial and scientific associations, and suppliers of machinery, equipment and consumables.
The event aims to strengthen cooperation among producers, academics, researchers, technology providers and public-sector representatives while supporting efforts to address the technical and structural challenges facing Iran’s steel industry.
