At the award ceremony organized by Imib, the company received the first award with the title of "The Company with the Most Exports Among Metallic Metals" and the third prize in the category of "Companies with the Highest Export Realization in the Turkish Mining Sector".
Gökırmak AŞ, which was established in 2021 as a subsidiary of Acacia Mining Operations, carries out the foreign trade operations of the company. The company has been exporting all of the copper concentrate produced at Gökırmak Copper Mine through Gökırmak AŞ since 2021.
The export rates will increase in parallel with the capacity increases
Approximately half of the 600 million dollars of export revenue generated by Acacia Mining Operations was generated by Gökırmak AŞ. Since its establishment, Gökırmak AŞ has exported 170 thousand tons of copper concentrate, generating a total export revenue of approximately 260 million dollars.
Zeki Sayılır, General Manager of Acacia Mining, stated that the company expects an increase in export revenues in the next years and said, "In parallel with our capacity increases, there will be increases in our export rates. We made an investment of approximately 7 million dollars for capacity increase. On this occasion, we increased our capacity from 120 thousand tons to 160 thousand tons. After this investment, we aim to increase our annual export revenue to over 270 million dollars."
