The 2024 export data for one of Türkiye’s leading sectors, iron and steel, shows that some companies have demonstrated strong performance. At the top of the iron and steel sector, Habaş Sınai ve Tıbbi Gazlar İstihsal Endüstrisi A.Ş. maintained its sector leadership with a total export value of $908.7 million, climbing from 25th to 23rd in the overall rankings. Tosçelik Profil ve Sac Endüstrisi A.Ş., with $870.2 million in exports, rose 15 places in the general ranking to become 24th overall, securing the second position in the sector.
Among the companies that increased exports compared to the previous year, Diler Dış Ticaret A.Ş. rose 7 places from 38th to 31st with exports totaling $703 million. İskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.Ş., with $670.8 million in exports, jumped 41 places to rank 32nd.
İçdaş Çelik Enerji Tersane ve Ulaşım Sanayi A.Ş. dropped 9 places to 40th with $590.4 million in exports, while Tatmetal Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. ranked 69th with exports of $322.1 million.
Yücel Boru İhracat İthalat ve Pazarlama A.Ş. maintained its position at 47th with $452.1 million in exports. Çolakoğlu Metalürji A.Ş. ranked 51st with $420 million, and Borçelik Çelik Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. came in at 57th with $385.2 million.
Ranked 10th in the sector, Yıldız Demir Çelik Sanayi A.Ş. rose from 222nd to 89th overall with exports totaling $283.9 million, while Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları Ticaret A.Ş. climbed from 120th to 82nd with $293.7 million in exports.
Borusan Birleşik Boru Fabrikaları Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was ranked 88th with $284.3 million in exports. One company, which placed 114th overall and 14th in the sector, with significant export figures, chose not to disclose its name.
Mitaş Endüstri Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. and Kardemir Dış Ticaret A.Ş. also ranked within the top 20 in the sector, with exports of $233.9 million and $228.9 million, respectively.
Further down the list, companies such as Mescier Dış Ticaret A.Ş. and İzmir Demir Çelik Sanayi A.Ş. also held strong positions in the sector with export figures exceeding $200 million.
