Vietnam’s Trade Remedies Authority, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, reported that Thailand’s Department of Foreign Trade has received a request to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on cold-rolled stainless-steel products imported from Vietnam. The request was filed by Posco-Thainox Public Company Limited, a stainless-steel mill based in Thailand.
In response, the Trade Remedies Authority urged the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) and related businesses to review export activities to Thailand from 2020 to the present. The Authority also emphasized the need for the steel industry to closely monitor further developments, formulate response strategies, and stay in communication with the Authority for timely support.
The products under investigation fall under HS codes 7219 and 7220.
