Tesla Model 3 became the first electric vehicle to pass the 1 million sales threshold

Tesla, the world's most popular electric car manufacturer, achieves very good sales figures with the affordable Model 3 vehicle it has launched.

According to the figures from the date of its first sale to the end of the second quarter of 2021, the Model 3 reached 1 million 031 thousand 588 deliveries worldwide.

These figures make the Tesla Model 3 the first electric car to sell 1 million copies.

On the other hand, Tesla says Model 3 and Model Y deliveries are made together from time to time.

Therefore, although the figures announced are not official, official registration data from dozens of countries for Model 3 and Model Y confirms the number of sales.

According to these data, Model Y has already managed to sell 250 thousand units and is expected to reach 500 thousand by the end of the year.

However, the Model S and Model X were approaching the 200 thousand sales threshold towards the end of last June.
