Teklas to establish second factory in Serbia

Teklas is one of the most important investors in Eastern Europe, which has become one of the production centers of the Turkish automotive industry abroad in recent years.

Teklas to establish second factory in Serbia

This facility, which produces parts for many world-famous automotive companies such as Volkswagen, Audi, PSA, Porsche, was established in 2015 at its first facility in Vladicin Han, located in the south of Serbia. The facility, which is established on an area of 26 thousand square meters, employs 1,30 people.

EMPLOYMENT FOR 250 PEOPLE IN THE FIRST PLANNING

The second facility of Teklas in Serbia will be located in Vranje. The factory, which was previously owned by an Italian company, was closed and more than 1,200 people lost their jobs. Here, Teklas will take over that facility and add some of those who lost their jobs to the employment staff. In this facility, it is stated that 250 people will be employed in the first step, and then 600 people will be employed before the end of the year. Thus, the employment that Teklas will create with its two facilities in Serbia will exceed 1,600.

INVESTED IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES IN THE USA

The new facility will be on cooling and heating, electric and hybrid motor and brake hose lines as in Vladicin Han. Some of the energy will be supplied from the sun in the new factory to be established in Vranje. Teklas, which has 11 facilities in 6 countries, will increase this figure to 12 production centers with the new investment. As it is known, Teklas, which entered the US market, also established a factory in the USA. Having purchased a production facility of 18,500 square meters in the state of Georgia, USA with an investment of 6.5 million dollars, Teklas will create employment for 120 people. The facility, which became operational in May 2021, produces rubber hoses and plastic parts for fluid systems of automobiles. Teklas, which serves companies such as General Motors, Volkswagen and Daimler Mercedes, announced that it plans to produce parts for electric cars in its new facility.
