Techint Group dropped from 23rd to 24th place in the 2025 ranking of the world’s largest steel producers published by the World Steel Association (worldsteel). In the list, which compares 2025 crude steel production data with that of 2024, the company’s global ranking fell by one position, although its production volume increased.
While Techint Group continues to rank among Latin America’s largest and most influential steel producers, it increased its production volume by 0.6% from 16.2 million tons in 2024 to 16.3 million tons in 2025.
Techint Group, which has long held a leading position in the Latin American steel sector, remains among the companies maintaining their regional strength despite global market competition. The slight decline in the ranking is viewed as a reflection of shifting balances in the global steel market.
