TCMB announced its interest rate

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) kept the policy rate constant at its current level of 8.50 percent.

The following is stated in the announcement made by the TCMB regarding interest rates:

"The efforts to find solutions to the increasing uncertainties in financial markets with supportive practices and tools developed by central banks continue. The Committee is of the opinion that the monetary policy stance is sufficient to support the necessary recovery after the earthquake by maintaining price stability and financial stability."
