Tangshan billet prices continue to decrease

Billet producers suffered more from the price decrease.

As of 28 May, the price of Q235 billet in Tangshan stood at Yuan 3,300/ton ($467.2/t) EXW including 13% VAT.

Unfavourable margins forced both billet producers and rollers to reduce their output last week.

Some rollers increased their purchases of semi-finished products last week due to very low billet stocks, which led to a decrease in retailers' billet stocks.
