In October, there were mixed trends in revenues among Taiwan’s leading stainless steel producers. Yieh United Steel Corp (Yusco), one of the country's largest producers, reported consolidated revenues of around NTD 3.69 billion (around USD 114 million). This figure indicated a decline of 2.2% on a monthly basis, but an increase of 6.3% on a yearly basis. This was the seventh consecutive month of y-o-y revenue growth for Yusco.

Another major player in the industry, Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd., reported consolidated revenues of NTD 1.29 billion (around USD 40 million) in October, a 41% increase on the month and a 93.3% increase on the year.

Looking at the January-October 2024 period, Yusco’s cumulative consolidated revenue was NTD 38.6 billion (around USD 1.19 billion), an increase of 2.3% y-o-y, while Tang Eng achieved revenue of NTD 10.18 billion (around USD 314 million) in the same period, a growth of 10% compared to the previous year.
