Taiwan's scrap imports increased

According to data from Taiwan Customs, Taiwan imported approximately 265,000 tons of scrap in July 2023. While this figure decreased by 1.4% compared to June 2023; Compared to July 2022, it increased by 9%.

The USA ranked first, supplying approximately 99,000 tons of scrap to Taiwan in July 2023. Japan was second with 95,000 tons and the Dominican Republic was third with 18,900 tons.

In the first seven months of this year, Taiwan's scrap imports reached approximately 1.9 million tons, up 12.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.
