Taiwan's Feng Hsin's price cut boosts rebar orders

Taiwanese rebar producer Feng Hsin Steel Co., Ltd. announced its latest price changes on September 16, prompting a steady increase in customer demand and orders. The company lowered its rebar price to NTD 18,100 (about USD 563) per ton. With this discount, it has received close to 20,000 tons of rebar demand, while customers have expressed flexibility in final quantities. For orders of approximately 3,000 tons or more, Feng Hsin offers a discount of NTD 100 (USD 3.14) per ton from the list price.

Customers quickly replenished their stocks, taking advantage of the relatively low prices. Most orders were placed shortly after the price was announced in the morning, with other sellers following suit to take advantage of the favorable price. Market experts expect demand and orders to increase further after the Autumn Festival.
