Taiwan's Feng Hsin keeps scrap and rebar prices unchanged

Taiwan's Feng Hsin maintained scrap and rebar prices this week, while lowering steel profile prices.

Taiwan's leading electric furnace producer Feng Hsin Steel Co. Ltd. announced that it kept its scrap purchase price unchanged at NT$10,700/ton and rebar price at NT$19,400/ton. However, it cut its steel profile price by NT$800/tonne.

Feng Hsin said last week that there were no offers for scrap shipments from the US. During the same period, the price of Japan's H2 scrap held steady on a weekly basis, while the price of US containerised scrap decreased by 1.4%. Moreover, Australia's iron ore prices decreased by 4.4% on a weekly basis.
