Feng Hsin Steel, one of Taiwan's largest electric furnace manufacturers, announced that it has kept its purchase price for scrap this week at NT$10,700/ton, its rebar purchase price at NT$19,300/ton and its steel profiles purchase price at NT$26,300/ton.
Feng Hsin Steel stated that there were no offers for US scrap shipments last week.
Over the same period, Japan's H2 scrap price remained stable at US$380/tonne, and the US containerized scrap price remained stable at US$360/tonne. Australia's iron ore price fell 5.3 percent week on week.
