Taiwan's leading steel producer Feng Hsin Steel Co., Ltd. announced that its product prices will not change this week. The prices for rebar, scrap, and steel section are steady at NTD 19,300 per tonne (approximately USD 621), NTD 10,300 per tonne (approximately USD 332), and NTD 26,200 per tonne (approximately USD 843), respectively.
In the international market, Japan's H2 scrap prices have remained constant at USD 357 per tonne. Meanwhile, the US containerized scrap experienced a slight increase, reaching USD 347 per tonne. Additionally, Australian iron ore prices saw a modest rise from USD 106.6 per tonne to USD 107.9 per tonne.
Feng Hsin also noted the absence of quotations for US scrap shipments last week.
