The company reduced its rebar prices to NTD 18,100 (about USD 563) per ton and its steel section prices to NTD 25,200 (about USD 785). Meanwhile, scrap prices decreased by NTD 300 to NTD 9,100 (about USD283) on Friday, September 13.
The international market has seen a decrease this week. Japan’s H2 scrap prices decreased to USD 325 per ton last week, while the US containerized scrap price decreased to USD 320. Meanwhile, Australian iron ore prices increased slightly from USD 91.10 to USD 92.05.
Commenting on the latest developments regarding US scrap shipments, Feng Hsin confirmed that no offers were received last week.
