Leading Chinese steelmakers - Baosteel and Shagang - announced sharp reductions in finished steel prices.

Steel prices are declining in China!

Leading Chinese steelmakers - Baosteel and Shagang - announced sharp reductions in finished steel prices. Baosteel lowered its flat steel prices by $47/ton, while Shagang lowered its longs prices by as much as $70/ton.

Spot billet prices in the induction furnace steel market of Central India have decreased on the back of limited demand.
