Steel profile prices for Northern Europe delivery were at €860-920 ($928-993) per tonne on Wednesday, down €20 from €880-920 per tonne the previous week.
The weekly price assessment for steel section for local, Southern European delivery was €850-900 per tonne on Wednesday, down €20-30 from €880-920 per tonne the previous week.
Prices decreased by €60-110 per tonne in Northern Europe and by €80-120 per tonne in Southern Europe due to the ongoing downward trend and lower construction consumption.
In Poland, profile prices decreased significantly to around €800 per tonne CPT on theoretical weight basis, down from €880-890 per tonne in late May, due to cheap import offers.
In Romania, producers' offers decreased by around €10 per tonne to around €750 per tonne CPT on a theoretical weight basis during the same period.
In Turkey, offers stood at $830 per tonne FOB, down from $850-900 per tonne at the end of May.
