Minister Kim stated that they will adopt a solution-oriented approach against the “reciprocal” tariffs that the US plans to impose as of August 1. In a statement released by South Korea's Ministry of Industry, Kim emphasized that he will make every effort to complete the negotiations smoothly by that date.
As part of the meeting traffic, South Korean National Security Advisor Wi Sung-lac will travel to Washington on July 20, while media reports suggest that Minister Kim and other senior officials may also travel to meet with their US counterparts in the coming days.
