Sinobras increases rebar production

The Brazilian company Sinobras announced the completion of the installation of a production line with a capacity of 500 thousand tons at the Maraba plant. The company invested $190 million in expansion of production.
The new rolling mill, manufactured and supplied by Italian Danieli, will produce rebar in coils. At the moment, the plant's capacity is 350 thousand tons per year. So far, the only production line of the enterprise produces rebar and wire rod.

Sinobras announced the construction of a new line in May 2022. At the same time, the company announced that it would use semi-finished products made from green cast iron of its own production as raw materials for it.

Sinobras should prepare a feasibility study (feasibility study) for a plant producing at least 500 thousand tons of such semi-finished products by the end of 2023.
