JFE Steel is increasing the production capacity of siliceous sheets used in new energy vehicles at its Kurashiki Factories. The company expects Kurashiki Works to go into production in the first half of fiscal year 2024. According to the data, the cost of production will be about 49 billion yen in April 2021.
The company plans to triple its production capacity for Kurashiki Works' NOES plates in fiscal year 2026. The announced cost is around 50 billion yen.
The company's primary plan is to double the factory's existing undirected silica sheet metal (NOES) sheet capacity.
