Due to global warming, the average temperatures of the Earth are constantly increasing, as a result of which the glaciers are gradually disappearing and the Earth is endangered.
According to scientists, the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is at the highest level in the last 63 years, and if we do not reduce it enough, we may face more serious dangers in the future.
HYDROGEN LEVELS ALSO INCREASED
In addition to the carbon dioxide ratio, another problem arose. According to the research conducted by scientists, the levels of molecular hydrogen in the atmosphere have increased significantly due to human-induced causes.
Scientists analyzed air samples trapped in the punctured cores of glaciers in Antarctica.
As a result of the investigations, it was revealed that atmospheric hydrogen increased by 70 percent in the 20th century due to human-induced causes.
NO SIGNS OF SLOWING
According to experts, although the measures taken against air pollution have started to be increased recently, hydrogen emissions show no signs of slowing down and continue to rise rapidly.
Molecular hydrogen, which is a by-product of air pollution, especially from automobiles, indirectly affects the distribution of methane and ozone, the two most important greenhouse gases after carbon dioxide.
This means that molecular hydrogen is an important factor in climate change.
Air samples from Antarctica showed that atmospheric hydrogen increased from 330 parts per billion to 550 parts per billion between 1852 and 2003. According to the researchers, this could have alarming consequences.
