Scrap deliveries to BMZ from Russia break a 5-year record

The July decrease in scrap prices increased the share of scrap from Russia in the steelmaking output of the plant, and it became profitable to top up with cheaper raw materials.

In terms of steelmaking, the plant remains at the level of May, but here the reason is not related to the shortage of raw materials. According to Dmitry Korchik, General Director of BMZ at the meeting with the OTK staff: at the end of 7 months more than 1.3 million tons of steel was produced, which exceeded the level of the last year.
