Samsun Makina will benefit from the wind turbine in the solar power plant site

A 6 MW wind turbine will be added to the 8 MW SPP field to be established in Kayseri. The electricity produced in the power plants will meet the electricity needs of Samsun Makina.

Samsun Makina will benefit from the wind turbine in the solar power plant site

Samsun Makina Sanayi A.Ş. is planning to establish a 6 MW Wind Power Plant (WPP) in addition to the 8 MW Solar Power Plant (GES) to be established within the borders of Yahyalı District of Kayseri province. The value of the project is estimated at 90 million TL. The electricity produced in the wind turbine will be collected in the same transformer with the electrical energy to be obtained from the solar panels and will be connected to the Yahyalı TM transformer through the same distribution center.

The electrical energy planned to be produced by utilizing wind energy will be given to the local distribution network with the application of self-consumption and offsetting, and will be deducted from the electrical energy costs used in the factories located within the industrial facilities of the company.

Samsun Makina Sanayi A.Ş (SMS), which has been serving the sector for decades in the fields of irrigation, drinking water, wastewater and infrastructure equipment design, production, installation and commissioning, has been continuing its activities since 1967. The company, which established Turkey's first ductile iron pipe factory in 2002, leads the sector in this field as well.

SMS continues to work towards the goal of reducing the CO2 emissions of the European Union to net zero by 2050, thanks to the investments it has made in its production activities in line with sustainable environmental targets and the green energy resources it uses in production.
