According to the announcement from Salzgitter AG, a big steel-making group in Germany, Salzgitter Mannesmann Grobblech GmbH has been approved for its plans to buy a new hot straightening machine.
Salzgitter Mannesmann Grobblech's plant is located in Mülheim an der Ruhr. This new line will cost about double-digit million euros, which is one of the largest single investments in the history of the plant.
The new equipment will be supplied by Austrian equipment manufacturer Buma Engineering & Anlagenbau GmbH and will be put into operation during the summer of 2026. With this project, the plant's sheet metal processing business will be greatly expanded.
