Çimsa will enter the production of gray cement as well as white cement in the US market.
Sabancı Holding and Çimsa's subsidiary operating in the US will establish a gray cement grinding plant in the US with an investment of 82 million dollars.
With this move, Çimsa will expand into the gray cement market as well as white cement in the US.
The plant, which has an average annual grinding capacity of 600,000 tons, is planned to be operational in the last quarter of 2025 and this investment will be fully financed by equity.
Cimsa Americas, a subsidiary owned 60 percent by Sabancı Holding and 40 percent by Çimsa, operates in the building materials sector in the US. The company also has white cement production operations in the US with an annual grinding capacity of 300,000 tons.
