CIS billet prices have remained consistent

In the Turkish market for billet imports, there has been a week-long stability in occasional offers for Russian billet, standing firm at $545/t CIF Turkish Black Sea. Meanwhile, certain market participants have hinted at the possibility of acquiring material from Russia and CIS regions within the range of $530-540/t CFR. However, despite these offerings, Turkish customers remain hesitant, primarily due to a decline in scrap prices, which have fallen below $380/t CFR. Consequently, buyers have put forth a counter offer of $510/t CFR for billet procurement.

For April shipment, a variety of offer prices for billet from different companies are available in the Turkish market. Metalloinvest presents offers ranging from $486 to $488 FOB Black Sea, and $528 CFR Türkiye, while EVRAZ offers billet at $545 FOB Black Sea. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih offers billet at $540 CFR Türkiye, and Metinvest suggests a price of $530 CFR Türkiye.
