As part of the project, four slab spreading heads and compaction rolls were supplied at one time. The new rolling lines produce up to 270 tonnes per hour of low, medium and high carbon steel coils in diameters of 5.5-16 mm and 6-16 mm rebar in 1,575 kg coils.
The technology supplier says its new paving units, the Danieli patented high-tech oil film conveyor units, are designed to reach speeds of up to 140 metres/second. Danieli explains that the latest generation of active compaction rolls equipped with Electro-Hydrostatic Actuators - EHA - also play an important role, ensuring optimum gap/force adjustment during the entire rolling time.
The joint collaboration between the technical teams of Riva BES and Danieli has resulted in a customised solution that allows the use of the main foundations and a limited standstill of the plant, the supplier says.
